Summary: We had Thanksgiving dinner at Kathy's.

Thursday, Nov 25th: This was Thanksgiving day. Kathy's house was a very busy place with lots of people getting ready for the big event. Julie and Jerrad spent the previous night with their four kids (Rouse 11yrs; Rex 9yrs; Kate 7yrs; and Boston 6yrs) and Jill's kids were also there (Juliet 10yrs and Ruby 8yrs). Ben (Jill's husband) came over. He'd stayed home with Jill who still had one more day of quarantine.

Rex took Carl out to the carport to check out Rex's BMW motorcycle. Carl really wanted to ride it but decided that wasn't a good idea. The 6 kids stayed out of the way in the playroom. After a while Ruby and Kate went to play "Barbies". Granddaddy Rex put the racetrack together and the kids had a great time playing with the racetrack.

Then about 1:00pm people started arriving. Tom and Karion had come over fairly early. Then a little later, Todd came with Tori and Bailey. Karley, Corbin, Joni, Sally Ann and Noah came over, not sure when. We had a huge group!! There was Rex & Kathy (of course) and us. There was Jerrad and Julie with their 4 kids, Ben (without Jill) and 2 kids. Tom and Karion were there with Joni and Todd. Todd's daughters Bailey (19yrs) and Tori (16yrs) were there, as were Joni's 4 kids (Karley (23yrs), Corbin, Noah (16yrs) & Sally Ann (13yrs)). The new pastor joined us with his wife and 2 boys.

When the food was ready about 2:00pm, Tom led us in a Thanksgiving prayer and we attacked the food!! It was so-o-o-o good!! Everybody had contributed their specialty dish. There was both a smoked & regular turkey. Corbin's contribution was fresh wild turkey and rabbit. Julie made a carrot cake special for Carl for dessert.

After our fantastic Thanksgiving feast, some of Rex's family came over for a short visit about 3:00pm. Rex's sisters (Kim and Cheryl) came by with some of their family. While they were arriving, Ruby and Kate started showing us their dance routines. We were all entertained by the very talented Cude & Bristow kids. Ruby & Kate danced, and then Juliet and Boston sang a duet. Rex sang 2 very silly songs and got everyone laughing. Juliet sang a beautiful song. Then Boston, Rex and Kathy started singing. Kathy dropped out and Rouse joined in, so it was the 3 boys. Then Juliet joined Kate and Ruby in a dance routine. After that there was one last performance by Rex and Boston, another silly song. They are all so talented.

After the performances, things started to quiet down. People started leaving and we were left with Julie, Jerrad and the 6 kids. What a fantastic day!! We'll remember this Thanksgiving for many years to come.
