Summary: We went to Parker to prepare for camping.

Saturday, June 8th: We got up as usual, packed up the 4Runner and took off for the river. We were about half way when we realized that we forget the blue river bag with Mom Rohde's blanket & new Roku.

When we got to the river, we had a big surprise as we came up over the last hill and saw the river!! It was full of floats. Rohde had forgotten to tell us that this was the weekend of the Parker Tube Float!! We usually unpack everything and start with chores, but we unpacked the cold stuff and sat on the patio to watch the activity. We had a couple groups stop by our dock. One to fix a contact in her eye and another group to go to Fox's.

After the tube float had wound down, we called Darcy to get Mom Rohde's blanket and mail it to us. Later, about 4:00pm, we noticed a Sheriff's boat with three divers circling in front of the house. The divers went into the water, but even when we Googled it, we didn't find out what was going on.

Then later that evening, we used our Roku stick, but then lost Internet. We had our SD card with movies, so we used that. Then the next morning we reset the router and we had Internet.

Sunday, June 9th: We were still a "go" for our camping trip, so we drove the Roamer to town to get gas. Chase & Cole Quick recognized us at the gas station and stopped for a really quick "hello". Then we went to Safeway to stock up with food. That evening we had cocktails with the Rohdes & Hertzigs.

Monday, June 10th: We started packing up the Roamer, loading everything except the last minute things. Carl drove the Jeep in for gas. All systems were still a "go", everything was looking good. We had cocktails at Tom Anthony's with them and the Rohdes & Hertzigs.
